Cillian Nolan works as South East Asia Analyst in the Jakarta office and covers developments in Timor-Leste, where he was based from 2009-2011. He joined Crisis Group in 2006 and worked in Crisis Group's Brussels headquarters, working as a member of the Research Unit and as special assistant to its Deputy Presidents. Before coming to Crisis Group, he worked in radio news production with National Public Radio in Washington, DC and as a researcher with the Harvard Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research (HPCR). He speaks French, Tetum and Indonesian and is conversant in Portuguese.
