The Philippines has done something right. The success of last week's election confounded doomsayers and gave the country an achievement to be proud of. It is not so much that voters chose the untested Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino by a wide margin. It is rather that the country as a whole took a chronic problem, election fraud, and came up with the solution - automated elections. ..
