Saad joined Crisis Group as Central Africa Analyst in July 2008 and focuses on Chad and the cross-border dynamics of Chad, Sudan and the Central African Republic. He has previously worked as an intern for the International Criminal Court, and also as a researcher for the Central Africa Catholic University (Yaoundé, Cameroon) and the Centre de recherche et d’action pour la paix (Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire). Saad holds master's degrees in Governance and Development from Institut de politique et de gestion du développement (Antwerp, Belgium) and in Social Sciences from the Central Africa Catholic University (Yaoundé, Cameroon). He also has a graduate degree in Analyse politique de l’Afrique noire et des pays du Sud from Institut Politique de Bordeaux (Bordeaux, France). He is fluent in French and English.
