Crisis Group 2009 Annual Award Dinner

This past autumn, Crisis Group held its 2009 Annual Award Dinner at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. Approximately 500 guests joined Crisis Group in honouring former U.S. Presidents George HW Bush and Bill Clinton and former Deputy Prime Minister of Lebanon Issam Fares for their outstanding contributions to conflict prevention and resolution. The evening was hosted by CNN International correspondent Christiane Amanpour and featured thought-provoking remarks by President Clinton, followed by a musical performance by Grammy Award-winning artist James Taylor.
