Ambassador Council

The Ambassador Council is a group of young leaders who bring their skills and experiences from diverse backgrounds to support a shared mission: preventing war and shaping peace.

The Member Experience

The Ambassador Council reflects values core to Crisis Group’s founding principles: through dialogue and inclusive representation, peace is possible. Join us in our mission. By committing to being an ambassador of our work and contributing their own expertise, Ambassador Council members support Crisis Group in its global mission to prevent and resolve deadly conflicts worldwide. The Ambassador Council provides valuable feedback, amplifies Crisis Group’s messaging, and expands Crisis Group’s network to increase the effectiveness of our advocacy. Together, we can make a difference.

Our passionate Co-Chairs lead four active branches in Brussels, London, New York and San-Francisco. AC members enjoy invitations to all CrisisCalls, breakfast briefings, screenings and roundtable discussions, as well as exclusive AC events, including Happy Hours with Crisis Group staff.

Crisis Group is grateful for the generous support of its Ambassador Council.

Brussels Chair

The idea behind launching the Ambassador Council, bringing younger people who might not necessarily work on issues related to peace and security but who are deeply curious about them, closer to the International Crisis Group, was ingenious. Being a member of the Ambassador Council has enriched my understanding of how people from different professions approach matters of peace and security. I have the utmost respect for the International Crisis Group and am a proud member of the Ambassador Council.

Working as a journalist means that I'm constantly thrown into some of the world's most challenging political contexts. I've found that being a part of the Ambassador's Council and my talks with Crisis Group experts to be some of my only fool proof ways to understand what's unfolding around the world and how I can better do my job within that context.
