As a Development Associate, Mathew supports Crisis Group’s relationships with foundation donors and contributes to efforts to establish additional partnerships with institutional foundations. He additionally monitors philanthropic trends relevant for the peace and security sector.

Prior to joining Crisis Group, Matthew was a research and data analyst for Campaign Zero, particularly working on projects for improving accountability and transparency of government agencies. He holds a BA in Political Science and Mathematics from Bowdoin College, where as a McKeen Fellow he helped to distribute annual grants to mission-driven organisations in Maine. He also earned a certificate in data, economics and development policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
