The Saudi-led coalition reported that an explosion it said was caused by a Huthi naval mine had “hit a commercial cargo ship in the southern Red Sea”, adding that such activities by the Huthis “in the southern Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab Strait has been increasing… [posing] a serious threat to international shipping”. The following day, the coalition announced that the Huthis had launched a ballistic missile which “fell short in Yemeni territory”.
