The chief of staff of Iran’s armed forces, Mohammad Bagheri, visited Syria for meetings with Syrian officials and Iranian troops in the field. During his visit he stated that “we cannot accept a situation where the Zionist entity [Israel] attacks Syria from the ground and the air”.
