In remarks delivered at the Peres Negev Nuclear Research Center, Prime Minister Netanyahu declared that "our enemies know very well what Israel is capable of doing. They are familiar with our policy. Whoever tries to hurt us - we hurt them". Netanyahu went on to assert that Israel "will continue to apply pressure on the dangerous, extremist regime in Iran", adding that the Israeli military "will continue to take strong and determined action against Iran's attempts to station forces and advanced weapons systems in Syria". Iran's foreign minister, Javad Zarif, retorted that "Iran, a country without nuclear weapons, is threatened with atomic annihilation by a warmonger standing next to an actual nuclear weapons factory. Beyond shameless in the gall".
