A senior Iranian military official warned that “the first firing [of rockets] in the Persian Gulf will hike up the oil price to more than $100”. He went on to note that “in the Persian Gulf, the whole American and foreign fleets are within the range of IRGC’s coast-to-sea missiles, which can reach to over 300km”. He further supported Foreign Minister Zarif’s proposal regarding a regional non-aggression pact and maintained “my suggestion is to sign the pact with some countries and form a coalition with some others”.
