Responding to comments by Secretary Pompeo assessing that "some 20 per cent of the Iraqi economy is controlled by the IRGC", Prime Minister Abdul-Mahdi reportedly remarked that "I don't know how they have calculated these figures... we enjoy advanced economic ties and business transactions with Iran, but this is different from maintaining economic relations with the Corps".
