Iran’s energy minister visited Iraq and met with senior Iraqi officials, including President Barham Salih. Salih expressed “a need for having further joint coordination and cooperation as well as broadening the scope of collaboration between the two countries, notably in the areas of electricity and water”. According to the minister, the two sides inked a two-year deal for Iranian electricity exports.
