Iraq's foreign ministry took exception to a tweet by the U.S. embassy which called upon Iran to "respect the sovereignty of the Iraqi government and permit the disarming, demobilisation and reintegration of Shia militias", saying that Baghdad "rejects interference in Iraq's internal affairs, especially domestic security reform".
