Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz asserted that “Israel supports the U.S. and strongly condemns the attacks on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad by agents of the Iranian regime. Attempting to target American diplomats in Iraq is a serious mistake”. “Israel calls on the international community to take a firm stance against Iran's criminal acts”, Katz added. In separate remarks, Katz assessed that “there is a possibility – the chances are not high, but it exists – that the Iranians could harm Israel and drag us into this”. “It must be clear to them that we will respond with great force to any attack”, he added.
