Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz hailed a IAEA Board of Governors resolution urging Iranian cooperation and indicated: “we've known for years that Iran is concealing blatant violations of the Non-Proliferation treaty with the intention of threatening both Israel and global stability. Israel will not allow Iran to achieve nuclear capability, and the international community is doing the right thing by insisting on effective inspections”. On 21 June, Prime Minister Netanyahu argued that “Iran is continuing to lie to the international community in order to attain nuclear weapons. Today, even the IAEA, the International Atomic Energy Agency, understands this. Its report from over the weekend speaks for itself”.
