The Israeli military announced that it had targeted “two temporary structures that were being used by the Syrian army… violat[ing] the 1974 Disengagement Agreement between Israel and Syria in the Golan Heights”, and added: “The IDF holds the Syrian regime responsible for all activities emanating from its territory and will not allow any attempts to violate Israeli sovereignty”. The same day, unconfirmed accounts reported that “two men were killed in an alleged Israeli drone strike in southern Syria”.
