Israeli media cited Defence Minister Yoav Gallant telling a parliamentary committee about “an increase in Iranian involvement in attempted arms transfers and intelligence gathering in the West Bank”; Gallant reportedly indicated: “Iran and [Palestinian] terrorist organisations have identified Judea and Samaria as a weak spot and direct many resources there for the purpose of attacks… Looking ahead, we intend to erect a barrier on the border with Jordan”.
