Israel’s ambassador to the U.S. argued that “the JCPOA virtually guaranteed that after ten to fifteen years, Iran would break out to a nuclear arsenal”, expressing hope that “a new [U.S.] administration works toward trying to find a common position where they will not go back to the mistakes of the past… We can hope that the next administration will say to themselves, look, this is not 2015, this is 2021. There has been a historic breakthrough in the region. How can we continue to move forward with that success?”
