Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi, meeting with his German counterpart, assessed that “the greatest threat to regional stability is Iran. Their nuclear program and regional ambitions remain a great concern. We will not allow Iran to have nuclear weapons and we will not allow Iranian entrenchment on our borders”. Ashkenazi went on to contend that “Iran’s backing of Hizbollah’s precision-guided missiles project should bring increasing international pressure. The aim of this project is to give Hizbollah a strategic offensive capability that would directly threaten Israel and Israeli civilians. We won't tolerate it”.
