Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah contended that Israel “is still occupying a part of our land… and over the past weeks it reoccupied a part of the Ghajar village”. He further warned Israel that “the Lebanese resistance movement is fully ready to shoulder responsibilities in defending Lebanon, Palestine and the entire nation”. The following day, Prime Minister Netanyahu reacted to Nasrallah’s threat by saying: “Even Nasrallah knows that it is worth neither his while, nor Lebanon’s, to put us to the test”.
