CENTCOM Commander Kenneth McKenzie visited Lebanon and met with senior Lebanese officials including President Aoun. During the visit, McKenzie emphasised that “we will continue to support the Lebanese armed forces as a sole armed representative of the government of the Lebanon”. He further described military cooperation between the two countries as “deep”, which would “transcend any perturbation of political things that might otherwise disturb it”.
