Referring to ongoing protests in Iran, the U.S. State Department asserted that “brave Iranians are demanding Tehran address their legitimate concerns over conditions caused by the regime's mismanagement and neglect. We condemn Iran’s continued use of violence against peaceful protestors and support their rights to peacefully assemble and express themselves”.
