The U.S. State Department's spokesperson, Morgan Ortagus, asserted that “maximum pressure stands until the President Trump tells us that it doesn’t stand… if the Iranian regime would like to meet with the President, they should go back and look at those twelve issues that the Secretary [Pompeo] laid out, because I think that’s a good guidepost for the conversation”.
