Asked to describe a potential new deal with Iran, the U.S. Special Representative for Iran, Brian Hook, indicated that “number one, we are going to restore the UN Security Council standard that the Iranian regime cannot enrich nuclear material… Two, we’re going to submit any agreement that we achieve to the U.S. Senate for a treaty and then it becomes international law if it is ratified”. He added that “it’s also going to go beyond the nuclear program… [and] cover missiles and regional aggression and hostage taking”.
