The Pentagon announced that it had moved “Israel from the U.S, European Command area of responsibility to the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility”, adding: “The easing of tensions between Israel and its Arab neighbours subsequent to the Abraham Accords has provided a strategic opportunity for the U.S. to align key partners against shared threats in the Middle East”.
