The U.S. designated nine Iranian and foreign-based entities and individuals linked to the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL). The U.S. also sanctioned three Iranian state-owned organisations “for activities related to conventional arms proliferation”. The State Department urged “all states to prohibit the sale, supply or transfer of arms or related material to or from Iran”.
