The U.S. Special Representative for Iran, Brian Hook, appeared before the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations for a hearing entitled “An Examination of U.S.-Iran Policy”. “Today, by nearly every measure, the regime and its proxies are weaker than when our pressure began”, Hook contended, “and we are well on our way to restoring the strong international standards that had long guided the world’s policy on Iran”.
