President Biden conferred with Prime Minister Netanyahu on, inter alia, “close coordination to counter Iran, including through regular and ongoing joint military exercises”, while highlighting “that U.S.-Israel partnership remains a cornerstone in preventing Iran from ever acquiring a nuclear weapon”. The following day, Biden met with President Herzog in Washington, where the two also discussed “key issues of mutual concern, including enhanced coordination to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon and Iran’s growing defence partnership with Russia”.
