The Treasury Department announced sanctions on “a senior member of Hizbollah’s External Security Organization (ESO), which is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of terrorist attacks outside of Lebanon”. A senior Treasury Department official stated that “this Administration will continue to target Hizbollah terrorists who plot horrific murderous operations and indiscriminately kill innocent civilians on behalf of this violent group and its Iranian patrons”.
