The U.S. special representative for Iran, Brian Hook, told the House Foreign Affairs Committee that “our pressure campaign is working”. He also indicated with respect to U.S. assessments of “escalatory indications” from Iran that “what we have seen so far have not been on the scale we have expected but that does not mean Iran is not capable of doing those things”.
