Secretary Pompeo, responding to a question positing that "no one's happier than Russia and Iran when they hear the news that the U.S. is pulling out of Syria", countered by saying "do you think [the Iranians are] happy that the largest set of sanctions ever emplaced on an economy - that is likely to fall into recession by the spring of this year - makes the Iranians happy?"
