The U.S. Special Representative for Iran, Brian Hook, contended that “it is now up to Iran’s leaders to decide whether to continue business as usual and invite even more pressure from the U.S., or to meet us at the table. We hope pragmatism will prevail in Iran but we are equally prepared to defend our interests if it does not”.
