The UN Fifth Committee (Administrative and Budgetary) rejected, by 100 votes against, 10 in favour and 32 abstentions, a U.S. proposal requiring the Secretary-General to “take all administrative and budgetary actions needed, including to facilitate the re-establishment of the expert panel and the sanctions committee” against Iran based on pre-JCPOA UN resolutions.
