The U.S. Special Representative for Iran, Brian Hook, posited that “we do not want to see a conflict in the Middle East, but we’re also going to intensify our maximum pressure campaign because Iran – we need to deny it the revenue it needs to fund its foreign policy”. “There will be more sanctions coming”, Hook added. “We can’t make it any more clear that we are committed to this campaign of maximum pressure, and we are not looking to grant any [sanctions] exemptions or waivers”.
