The U.S. sanctioned “a network of seven individuals and six entities in Iran, the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and Hong Kong in connection with Iran’s ballistic missile program”. According to the Treasury Department, “this network has conducted financial transactions and facilitated procurement of sensitive and critical parts and technology for key actors in Iran’s ballistic missile development”. The State Department asserted that “the U.S. remains firmly committed to using every tool at our disposal to disrupt Iran’s procurement networks, and we will work with allies and partners to hold Iran accountable for its actions”.
