The FBI issued a statement regarding Bob Levinson, indicating that "during the past twelve years, the only credible evidence of responsibility in Mr. Levinson's abduction has pointed to those working for the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran". Relatedly, Secretary of State Pompeo tweeted that "we renew our call on the Iranian regime to return Mr. Levinson to his family", adding that "we are determined to secure the release of all U.S. hostages and wrongful detainees".
