As Senior Analyst for UN Advocacy and Research, Daniel is responsible for monitoring developments at the UN Security Council and across the UN, shaping Crisis Group's advocacy through liaising with diplomats and UN officials, and supporting the organisation's UN-related research and activities.

Professional Background

Daniel has focused on international peace and security, multilateral peace operations and regional organisations throughout his career. He most recently worked for the International Peace Institute (IPI) in New York, serving as a researcher at its Brian Urquhart Center for Peace Operations. Previously, Daniel worked at the African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (ACCORD) in Durban, South Africa, as a researcher in the office of its executive director. 

Daniel holds a Masters of International Affairs Degree from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA).
