She monitors and conducts research on China’s foreign policy and its role in conflict prevention and resolution in the region. Professional Background Prior to joining Crisis Group, Ivy worked as a policy aide at the ministry of defence in Malaysia. She also had vast experience working in policy advisory and governmental affairs roles with think-tanks and international organisations, and spent a year as a Visiting Scholar in Taiwan. Ivy graduated with a Masters in International Studies and Diplomacy from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.
