Ginger Jacobs joined Crisis Group in November 2019 as Special Assistant and Adviser to the President.

Professional Background

Ginger has a background in international development and previously worked for Chemonics International supporting USAID (U.S. Agency for International Development) projects in East and South Africa. During that time, she worked in Uganda to support the USAID Feed the Future Youth Leadership for Agriculture Activity. Prior to that, she worked for U.S. Senator Brian Schatz as his Deputy Scheduler and Executive Assistant. Ginger holds a Bachelor’s degree in political science with a focus on global politics from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo.

Ginger has a Master's degree in Global Security Studies from Johns Hopkins University in Washington, D.C.
