Alexandra joined Crisis Group in February 2023 as Deputy Director of Policy. She works with the Chief of Policy and the Policy/Editing team to develop the organisation's analysis and policy recommendations, and edit written products.

Professional Background

Before joining Crisis Group, Alexandra was a Senior Editor at Foreign Affairs. She has also served as NPR's immigration correspondent in New York City and has written for publications including Harper's Magazine, The New York Times Magazine, and The Atlantic. In addition to her own journalism, she taught at Columbia University and New York University.

Alexandra has an MA in journalism from Columbia University, where she was a Spencer Fellow; an MA in Political Science from La Universidad Simon Bolivar, where she was an Organization of American States fellow; and a BA from the University of Virginia, where she was an Echols Scholar
