Israel’s National Security Council warned that “in light of the threats heard recently by Iranian officials [after the 27 November killing of a senior Iranian nuclear scientist] and in light of the involvement in the past of Iranian officials in terror attacks in various countries, there is a concern that Iran will try to act in this way against Israeli targets”. The following day, Israeli media reported that the government had “warned nuclear scientists who used to work at its Dimona reactor to take increased security measures”.
