Caroline Flintoft Former Senior Adviser, Humanitarian Fallout of Conflict Washington DC Crisis Group Role Carrie Flintoft is Senior Adviser at Crisis Group focusing on the political dimensions of conflict-related humanitarian crises. In more than a decade with the organisation, she has worked as Special Adviser to former Crisis Group President Jean-Marie Guéhenno and as Legal Counsel, advising on the group’s global operations and providing legal and policy expertise for its reporting and advocacy. She has also worked as Crisis Group’s Research Director, overseeing thematic research and best practices, and as an Analyst in its Asia Program. Prior to joining Crisis Group in 2007, Carrie spent more than ten years working in legal and policy roles, including as counsel in federal civil rights litigation in New York. She has done field research in Kenya, Kosovo, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Carrie earned a law degree from New York University, a master’s degree from Princeton University and a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University, and served as a judicial law clerk in the Southern District of New York.
