Kjell Olsson joined Crisis Group in 2008 as Publications Manager, a role in which he developed new workflows for production and publication of reports and briefings in print and online; and contributed to and developed the application of Crisis Group’s visual branding introduced in 2016.

As Brand Identity Manager and head of the Publications Unit, Kjell oversees the production of all Crisis Group publications and visuals; provides guidelines and advice, ensuring our brand is correctly implemented in both internal and external products. 

Professional Background

Previously, Kjell worked as production controller at the Nordic Council of Ministers in Copenhagen for eight years. He has a background in printing, graphic design and typography from Norstedts Printing House and Page One Publishing in Stockholm, and experience from running private firms in Stockholm, Copenhagen and Brussels.
