The Member Experience

Each year, Crisis Group hosts nearly 100 members-only events in New York, London, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Brussels and Istanbul. These gatherings provide a nonpartisan forum for global leaders to engage on the most pressing international issues of the day. Council members represent a diverse range of prominent business leaders, government officials, lawyers, scholars and philanthropists from around the world.

Members receive access to:

  • Bi-annual Board of Trustees meetings in rotating global capitals
  • CrisisCalls on breaking developments and conflict trends

Crisis Group Councils

We offer three levels of Council membership:

President’s Council

Membership is reserved for individuals and corporations making leadership gifts to Crisis Group. President’s Council members enjoy the highest level of access to our Board of Trustees, senior staff and analysts.

Membership benefits include: two invitations to our biannual Board Meetings; up to 12 on-demand private briefings per year with Crisis Group program directors and field-based analysts; one speaking engagement per year with our President & CEO, or a Trustee; and invitations to participate in more than 100 members-only events with Crisis Group analysts and Trustees in global capitals.

International Advisory Council

Membership is reserved for individuals and corporations providing essential support to the organisation. International Advisory Council members enjoy premier access to Crisis Group’s Board of Trustees, senior staff and analysts.

Membership benefits include: one invitation to our biannual Board Meetings; up to six on-demand private briefings per year with Crisis Group program directors and field-based analysts; and invitations to participate in more than 100 members-only events with Crisis Group analysts and Trustees in global capitals.

Ambassador Council

Membership is reserved for young global leaders who contribute their time, talent and financial capital to advance our mission.

Ambassador Council members enjoy access to our field-based analysts and global Board of Trustees through exclusive invitations to the Ambassador Forum briefing series. Members are part of an elite international network committed to responding to the serious challenges facing the world today.
