Sahar Atrache is Crisis Group’s Senior Analyst for Lebanon. She joined the organisation in August 2008, and since then has covered a wide array of subjects including the Lebanese-Israeli conflict, Hizbollah, Sunni political and Islamist groups, Palestinian and Syrian refugees, as well as the conflict in Syria and its impact on Lebanese and regional dynamics. She holds postmaster's degree in political science and in journalism. A native Arabic speaker, Sahar is fluent in English and French.
