As Manager of the Climate, Environment and Conflict Project, Margaux supports the organisation’s policy and advocacy activities on climate security. Margaux also coordinates the Environmental Early Action and Risk Tracking Hub (EEARTH) pilot, an early warning system that blends climate and social sciences with field research to understand, anticipate and prevent climate security risks.

Before joining Crisis Group, Margaux spent six years at Interpeace, where she supported and advised the implementation of peacebuilding projects aimed at addressing the root causes of conflict in West Africa and the MENA region. From 2020 to 2022, she served as a program manager in Côte d’Ivoire, where she provided strategic leadership, piloted an initiative focused on preventing political violence, and established a partnership with the Ministry of Reconciliation and National Cohesion. In her most recent role as a program manager in Mali, she oversaw the execution of four peacebuilding projects, one of which supported locally driven solutions to climate-related conflict risks along the border with Burkina Faso. 

Prior to that, Margaux served as a policy and research trainee at the UN Development Programme in Türkiye, where she conducted research on gender inequalities in labour markets in Central Asia and the South Caucasus. 

Margaux holds an MA in conflict, security and development from King’s College London and an MA in international politics from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques (Sciences Po) in Bordeaux.
