As Quantitative Climate Data Expert, Antony develops weather hazard monitoring tools, conducts related analyses, and contributes to scenario development exercises to support early warning decisions.

Professional Background

Prior to his role as Quantitative Climate Data Expert, Antony did an internship at the International Crisis Group, worked as a data analyst, did research consulting for the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) and part-time lecturing at Moi University's School of Human Resource Development. 

Antony is an experienced meteorologist with a strong background in research, forecasting, and collaboration with proficiency in analysing and interpreting weather data using tools such as Surfer, R, QGIS, and Python. He has experience in distributed computing frameworks, VM instances and data bucket set-ups in Google Compute Engine, web authoring using Tableau and PowerBI. 

He holds an MSc in Meteorology and a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology with First Class Honors from the University of Nairobi.
