As Senior Analyst with the Future of Conflict Program, Ulrich leads the organisation's workstream on Climate, Environment and Conflict. In this role he combines quantitative methods from climate and social sciences with field research and policy insights to understand, prevent and mitigate climate security risks.

 

Professional Background

During his previous role as Postdoctoral Fellow with Princeton University’s Empirical Studies of Conflict Project, Ulrich established Crisis Group's quantitative work on climate. He is a Visiting Fellow at Princeton University and was previously based at the London School of Economics. Ulrich received a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Lausanne and a Master's degree in Economic Policy from the University College London.
