Iran’s diplomatic spokesperson remarked that “[we are] closely following alarming developments in Afghanistan. Iran calls for immediate deescalation, respect for rule of law and inclusive dialogue”. “[The] destructive policies of the U.S. has [sic] had lingering consequences in our region and now its utterly irresponsible conduct is taking a toll”, he argued.
