The Kurdistan Regional Government reported that six rockets had fallen “near the KAR refinery in Erbil”; a main tank was damaged in the attack, according to Iraqi security forces. The U.S. consulate in Erbil condemned the attack, “which resulted in damage to an oil refinery… Attacks in Iraq, including on the energy sector, are an assault on the sovereignty of Iraq and hurt Iraqi citizens”.
